Notes

Note
In regards to Friederich's immigration:

Page 515 of the book Names of Foreigners who Took the Oath of Allegiance to the Province and State of Pennsylvania, 1727-1775: With the Foreign Arrivals, 1786-1808 has the following:

"LIST OF FOREIGNERS IMPORTED IN THE SHIP UNION, ANDREW BRYSON, CAPTAIN, FROM ROTTERDAM, LAST FROM COWES, QUALIFIED SEPT. 30, 1774."

Then there is a list that along with 132 other names shows:
"Friederich Gantz"

Friederich Gantz

Note
I have included that Friedrich was from Manheim, Germany as a result of a post that I found on rootsweb.com. It reads:

"Index to Will Books and Intestate records of Lancaster County, PA 1729 - 1850:
Friedrich Gantz arrived in the U.S. in 1774 from Manheim, Germany, settled in Rapho Township, Lancaster County, served as 2nd Cl. soldier in Revolutionary War, married in 1779 to Catharina. They had daughter Catharina ‎(b. 1779)‎, daughter Susan ‎(1791 - 1857)‎, and son Friedrich ‎(1789 - 1871)‎."

I will have to look into this because I don't believe that Friedrich had a daughter named Susan and the birth date given above for Friedrich does not match other records.
